Kylie Hamelin
Student Intern
Kylie is a practicum student currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Guelph, where she developed a strong foundation in human behaviour, emotional well-being, and mental health.
Kylie’s clinical interests include supporting individuals navigating self-image, life transitions, relationships, anxiety, and depression. She approaches her work through an intersectional lens, recognizing the impact of identity, social context, and systemic factors on each person’s lived experience. Grounded in a person-centred approach, Kylie strives to create a compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Kylie has gained valuable experience working in the field of domestic violence and abuse, which has deepened her commitment to trauma-informed care and reinforced the importance of safety, empathy, and trust within the therapeutic relationship.
Outside of her clinical work, Kylie teaches dance and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She values balance, creativity, and meaningful connection, and aims to bring these elements into both her personal life and her work with clients.
