Erika Brown
BSW, RSW, MSW (Candidate)
I believe in the possibility of change and growth for every child and family. As a Registered Social Worker, community member, and mother of three, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work supporting the mental health and well-being of children and teens.
With over 20 years of experience across child welfare, youth services, and clinical settings, I have a deep understanding of the complexities that children and families navigate. I specialize in assessing and supporting children facing emotional and behavioural challenges, using a client-centered approach tailored to each individual’s needs.
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive frameworks. I have experience in evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), crisis intervention, and resilience-building strategies. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and empowering space where children feel understood and supported.
I am committed to helping children and their families build strength, foster healing, and achieve meaningful, lasting change within their lives and community.
